Mobile grooming is simple and super convenient for those that prefer to have services done at their doorstep. First, you must book your appointment on our website and schedule a preferred date and time that matches our availability.  On the day of the appointment when we arrive, we will park in front of your house and knock on your door to ask for the pet that needs the service. Upon completion, we will let you know when your pet is ready so that you may come out to greet them. Let us know if you prefer a text message instead of a knock on the door in the event you are working from home or have a baby sleeping. Finally, enjoy your freshly groomed buddy!

We use products distributed by Davis and PetEdge. You may visit their website for more detailed information on their ingredients. We encourage you to advise us if your veterinarian recommends the use of certain ingredients as well as ingredients your pet may be allergic to in order to make the grooming experience a good one for our beloved pets. 

Mobile grooming is actually a great option for nervous pets. While inside the mobile unit, there will be less distractions for them as there are no other dogs barking at the time of their session. It is a great idea to introduce your pet to grooming and keep them in a consistent schedule to get them familiarized with the noises, sight and smell. We do encourage pet owners to work with their dogs at home. For example, handling them in the ways that groomers do such as rubbing their paws and brushing them with a comb. That can ultimately turn into a positive experience for our fur-babies!

Another consideration is giving your pet some time to build a really great relationship with the groomer. We offer the option to walk your pet for 15 minutes around your neighborhood as an add-on service before the grooming session. This helps to build trust.

Mobile grooming is a service designed for convenience to pet owners and personalized care to pets. We come to you. Therefore, no double trips to the grooming salon, no waiting hours for the groom to be completed, and your pet will have no time spent in a kennel. All time and attention is spent solely on your furry friends from the time they step into our mobile salon, with no added distractions. We use premium-quality products and equipment based on your pet's needs. Also included is everything for the basic health upkeep of your pet. Our Mobile salon is cleaned and sanitized after every groom keeping disease and parasites at bay.

We are open from 9am to 6pm central time Monday through Saturday. We are closed on Sundays.

The frequency of the grooms may depend greatly on the breed, size, hair length and lifestyle of your pet. For baths, we have many clients who are on a weekly schedule which can also range from every 3-6 weeks. For Full and Stay-in-Shape Grooms, we recommend that pets be groomed every 4-6 weeks depending on how much maintenance owners do at home. To schedule appointments with us, we require pets to go no longer than 6 weeks between grooms. All Doodle/Poodle clients are required to keep on a 3-5 week schedule. All shedding breeds must be kept on a 2-3 week schedule to keep shedding to a minimum. Keeping up with grooming can help pets get used to the process making it a more relaxing and stress-free experience.

Unfortunately we do not groom cats.

 We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards.

Like Texas State law we only require rabies vaccine to be up to date. Exceptions for elderly pets can be made. Please let us know before the grooming appointment as you will be prompted to add proof of rabies vaccine upon filling your intake form. 

For safety while en route to house appointments and to minimize distractions during the grooming process we do not answer calls or texts during grooming hours. You can bathe your pup at home, however, we would still need to re-bathe your pet to ensure that your pet is dried properly to allow for the best possible groom. We also use premium-quality shampoos and conditioners that can be beneficial to what your pup needs once we assess their coat and skin. 

Females in heat can be temperamental during their groom. It’s best to wait until their heat cycle passes so they don’t have any additional stress or discomfort. We can accommodate it under special circumstances for an additional fee. We ask that you please let us know before booking.

According to the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, pet grooming and cleaning ARE taxable services. Service providers must have Texas sales permits and collect and remit sales tax on their services. Taxable grooming services include: bathing, hair trimming, brushing, nail trimming and grinding, ear cleaning, teeth cleaning etc.

According to the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, there are two instances when animal grooming is not taxable. If the pup being groomed is a work animal (e.g. service animal) or the grooming is medically necessary and performed as part of veterinary services, these services are not taxable. Patitas & Wet Noses Mobile Grooming Inc accepts valid and properly completed exemption certificates from clients claiming an exemption for a work animal instead of collecting sales tax.
